River Mission

(Lawrence Helm)

I am on a mission of sand

Seeking to expand its

Multisequential rendering

Each day in the steps

I've made before until

The strong winds come

To erase it all.

I shall begin again

Beside the bush and weed,

The debris dumped down

Beside the road and left

To the storm that's

Yet to come to clean

It all away.

I shall come near

And peer down at its rushing

Past above the lasting

Sand and my foot prints

Scrambled in millions

Of kaleidoscopic

Anguished churnings.
