I assumed that the lint I was seeing in the viewfinder would show up on the photos.  I was disgusted that I couldn’t clean it properly, but today I put it to the test and while the lint is unpleasant to see, the photos seem fine.  I should have chosen a different lens.  It has a filter that produces “artifacts,” that is light circles and little rainbows, but that isn’t the fault of the camera.]
