Another Pentax 50mm F1.2

I decided to give him my Pentax 50mm F1.2 legacy lens (with adapter) and get another.  Why use legacy lenses instead of digital lenses?  Olympus has a site where they ask you which cameras you have and how you intended to use them.  I said I have an E-1 and an E-520 and like to photograph landscapes and other aspects of nature.  Among the first lenses they recommended was one costing about $7,000.  A 50mm legacy lens whether Olympus, Yashica or Pentax can be purchased on eBay, often for under $30 including shipping – at least that is what I paid for mine.

Can I do as well with a Pentax 50mm legacy lens as I could if I had Olympus’ recommended $7,000 lens?  Perhaps not, but perhaps there isn’t a $6,950 difference.  These were from today, using SMC Pentax-M 1:2 50mm, S/N 5178080 made by the Asahi Optical Co.
